Black History Month

For anyone who lives in a cave and doesn’t know it, this is Black History Month. I thought I would offer a nice link to historical milestones in black history:

There were many heroes in this long journey, but my favorite has always been Rosa Parks, who damned well refused to sit in the back of the bus!

Rosa Parks’ contribution to the civil rights’ movement is not smaller than those of other civil rights’ leaders–Martin Luther King included. Sometimes inspirations come from little things.

    I couldn’t agree more!

Perhaps one day the true “black” heroes such as Rosa from SA’s own past will be written about… for that day I can not wait, the true heroes not the self claimed ones.

Mrs. Parks is truely one of my favorites too. When we accept or look away at any injustice. . . we are indeed contributing to the injustice itself. Thanks for sharing . . .

    PLL, CordieB.

Actually from my reading she was quite the activist, in addition to the bus incident.
